Animals Sounds - Mimic Party Pack Guide

Animals is one of the three official themed packs that ship with [Mimic Party](/game) — the store page promises "animals, machines, voices, and more". Expect the classic barnyard-and-pet roster: dog barks, cat meows and the rest of the noises every human mouth has attempted at least once. FoliesAPP has not published a per-pack track list, so we keep descriptions at theme level. What is confirmed is the mechanism: each round's reference sound is picked at random across the packs you own, and you get one take with no second chance. The local AI grades every take out of 100 across three dimensions: Melody, Rhythm and Attacks. Animal sounds are where Attacks — the count of distinct onsets in your take — does the damage. The official wording is blunt: "one bark does not pass for three." If the reference barks three times, a single heroic woof is scored as exactly one attack, no matter how loud or accurate it sounds. Community consensus on scoring higher here: treat each animal noise as a note with a tiny silence before it. Bark, close your mouth, bark again — that separator is what makes each attack countable to the AI. Breathing audibly between attempts can blur onsets, so take a short sip of air through the nose instead. We flag this as a community estimate: FoliesAPP has not documented how the onset detector works, only that attack count is graded.

Reference sounds are picked at random across the packs you own, so the Animals pack never plays alone — it pools with every other pack installed at your table. Before the round starts, every player must have the selected packs installed, and the lobby shows exactly who is still downloading.
